Semeyi Zake has a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Economics as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth.

 

He worked in various roles in the medical aid/health industry before pursuing journalism. In 2006 he joined Summit TV and has over the years risen through the ranks to become Head of Programming. Zake’s role sees him running the day-to-day operations of the station and managing content origination for both the news and features.

 

As Head of Programming, Zake is responsible for ensuring consumer satisfaction and growing channel reach. Zake was also tasked with the rebranding of the channel which was successfully renamed Business Day TV. Zake has helped drive closer integration with the print publication and has grown channel viewership.
